Workout Essentials

Happy 2019! 2018 was pretty wild and I truly am so excited to see what 2019 has in store. One of my favorite parts of 2018 was falling back in love with working out. I was off the bandwagon for…a few years, but now I’m back on. If you want to read about my fitness journey, you can check that out here.

I’ve found some key essentials that make my life a lot easier when I’m working out, so I wanted to share. Plus, EVERYTHING is on sale, so you don’t have to break the bank to start getting fit. tumbler ($15 from $18): I personally like a tumbler better than a water bottle. I can take a quick sip, don’t need to screw a lid back on if I’m in the middle of a class and honestly, tumblers just make me happy. Work It Out Exercise Mat ($24 from $32): In case you’re placing a order now, we’ll throw this in. I have another pattern of this yoga mat and really like it. The material unfurls pretty quickly so you aren’t fighting with your mat to stay down. The material is soft and pretty thick but doesn’t feel like a hard rubber. Great mat and super cute.

Pacifica Purify Wipes ($2.60 normally $6): I’m a big fan of the Pacifica wipes in general. I keep a pack in my car to wipe off makeup before I work out or to freshen up after if I have to pop into the grocery store before I head home.

Knotted Velvet Scrunchies (3 for $12 or $8 each): Since I don’t wash my hair every day, I need to keep it up while I work out but also don’t want an indent in my hair. I tried some cotton scrunchies but they would fall out. The velvet really helps hold on to your hair but the scrunch doesn’t leave an imprint. Plus, they’ll make you feel a little fancy.

Beats X Wireless Earphones ($90 from $150): I got these last year and really like them. They come with 4 different earphone sizes as well as over-the-ear hooks for working out. I’m sure true music people would say these aren’t the “best,” but for my purposes, they’re really great (plus the battery charges in like 10 minutes).

Women’s Swoosh Medium Support Sports Bra ($ varies by color, normally $30): This is my favorite sports bra. I’ve tried a lot but always come back to this. The under-bust band is really soft and has great lining that absorbs moisture. It’s compressive without feeling constrictive. There isn’t any padding but on my B-C cup it’s fine.

Cobalt ($23) Teal ($19) Maroon ($22) Bright Peach ($24)

Nike Free RN Women’s Running Shoe: These are my favorite “everything” shoe. They’re really lightweight and hold up very well. I have 3 pairs. I walk around in them, do my workout class in them and even like them for yoga (sometimes I don’t want to take off my shoes).

Nike’s Sale: Black/Gold ($70) Green/Mauve ($70) White ($85)

Finish Line’s Sale: Vast Grey ($40) Dusty Rose ($50) Grey ($65) Black/White ($75) Peach/White ($50)

Target Free Weight Dumbells (20% off, $ varies by weight): It’s great to keep some light weights in your house, or one heavy one. Squat while you binge the latest Netflix show. You’ll thank yourself later.
