I haven’t been super excited about new makeup in awhile and haven’t had a proper haul in quite some time. I went through a massive makeup purge recently and it feels amazing. I’m at the point where:
- I know what I like
- I know what I enjoy splurging on and saving on
- I’m over the clutter
As a result, it takes a lot to get me excited about makeup at the moment, but there are a few things that have peaked my interest lately. With all of the holiday launches, I highly recommend trying the following: add to cart and then let it sit for a week. If you still find yourself thinking about it a week later, then pull the trigger.
So, let’s dive into a few of the items I’ve added to my ‘loves list’ on Sephora lately!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4: If you’ve never tried any Hourglass powders, I highly recommend this palette. Let’s go back to the year 2009 – times were happier and blurring Instagram filters were the WAY. TO. GO. These powders are basically a real-life Instagram filter for your face.
NARS Hot Tryst Cheek Palette: Holiday launches are where it’s at for face palettes. This one looks absolutely stunning and the packaging is gorgeous. I’ve always had great experiences with the staying power of NARS blushes. If you’re in the market, this looks like a beautiful option.
Marc Jacobs See-quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow: I almost wish Marc Jacobs Beauty wasn’t so damn good, but it is. They’re Glambition eyeshadow palette might be my favorite palette, their coconut dew drops are sinful and their eyeliner truly has changed the game for me. I have no doubt that these glitter eyeshadows are a shimmering dream and I might grab one for the holiday season.
Amuse Bouche Set: I’ve raved about these lipsticks here on the blog for years and this set looks adorable. If you don’t think of yourself as a “lipstick person,” I guarantee this formula will change your mind. It’s creamy, ultra-pigmented, has amazing staying power and is made with food-grade ingredients.
Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Concealer: I absolutely loved this foundation because of it’s creamy, blendable formula and skin-like appearance. I am almost out of my current concealer and am thinking about giving this one a try.
Urban Decay All Nighter JUMBO: More setting spray, cheaper price, JUMBO BOTTLE.
Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner: I use this brush cleaner to spot clean in-between giving my brushes a proper bath. It has a light vanilla scent, dries quickly and really does a bang-up job. This set comes with a handy little dish for cleaning, so it’s a great item to stock up on.
Are there any launches you’re currently super stoked about? I’d love to hear!
