June Favorites 2018

Welcome to summer and some June Favorites! It’s been a few months and it’s been a slow makeup run lately. I’ve been on a no-buy, which is ending shortly, and haven’t been trying out or honestly even wearing that much makeup lately. However, I’m feeling super re-inspired and have had a lot of luck with a few new hair products as well as some new combinations with long-time loves. So, let’s jump on into it:

Love Beauty and Planet Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner: My hair is so soft with this combo that even my hairdresser said I was doing something right. I got sucked in by this packaging at Target and have been super impressed with the three products I’ve tried so far. I love that it doesn’t have all of the bad stuff that isn’t good for your hair and skin (paragons, phthalates and more) plus you can recycle the bottles. This scent is so warm and delicious. My hair feels super soft but this conditioner does not make my hair heavy. A big win at a bargain price.

Love Beauty and Planet Coconut and Ylang Ylang Body Wash: This body wash smells so refreshing, ever-so slightly floral, but also as a hint of herbal to it. It isn’t a smooth traditional shower gel consistency and comes out a bit like jelly, but still gets nice and frothy. My boyfriend has been using this as well and really likes it.

Priming Glowing CC Cream.jpg

First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer mixed with It! Cosmetics CC+ Cream: In case I don’t talk about it enough, especially on Instagram, I pretty much use the It! CC Cream exclusively as my everyday base. My favorite face cocktail lately has been to use equal parts of these two for a lightweight, fresh finish that still has a good amount of coverage.

Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana: I don’t know how I am so late to the game on this product but holy smokes is it stunning! This powder is super creamy and gives a very similar effect to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. I use this allover the high points of my face, which is what is giving me a glow in the photo below.

Esquido false eyelashes starlet.jpg

Esqido False Eyelashes Starlet: I’m getting back in the swing of filming YouTube videos and loved wearing some falsies for a few videos I just recorded! False lashes have always been tricky for me, but I absolutely love the way these look. I’ve always had a hard time finding lashes that fit my eyes and don’t overpower my eyes, since they are slightly hooded. I think these lashes kick up the drama without looking too fake. The lash band is thicker than most I’ve tried, but it felt comfortable after a few minutes.

The lash glue is also super strong, which means it’s not as forgiving when you first place the lash down. With other lash glues I’ve tried, you can reposition them a little when you set them, but that also means the glue has a tendency of not holding all night, and then you’re that girl with half of her eyelash falling off.

Those are my favorites for the month! I hope you enjoy!
