Happy Friday! Lollapalooza is one week away so I thought I’d help serve up some inspiration for your outfit and makeup.
Outfit: Unless you’re a super model at Coachella, there’s no need to go out and buy a crazy expensive outfit for a music festival just so you can get a great Instagram picture. Go to Forever 21, H&M a thrift store, or your mom’s closet (there might be some gems in there). I’m obviously not a fashion blogger because I didn’t even have the good sense to get a full-length picture of my outfit:
This is a loose little sundress from Marshalls, just $14.99. I paired it with some jewelry, reflective sunglasses from Target, and these shoes from Walmart:
Now for my favorite part: the makeup! e.l.f. kindly sent me over lots of fun goodies to help create a bright summer look. A music festival is your chance to try out all of those makeup trends you might be too timid to rock on a weekday. Blue ‘brows? Green lipstick? The highlighter challenge? Do it all and don’t be afraid – there will be much stranger things going on at a music festival than your orange eyeshadow.
For this look I used:
e.l.f. Baked Bronzer
e.l.f. Cream Eyeliner – Teal tease
e.l.f. Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow – Toast
e.l.f. Lip Lacquer – Purple
I popped some bright blue eyeliner on my inner corner for a fun pop of color. This purple lip lacquer is beautifully pigmented, creamy and leaves a subtle stain. Be less worried about your makeup and spend more time enjoying the people you’re with and music you’re listening too. No time for touch-ups.
Even if you aren’t going to a music festival, don’t be afraid to be adventurous with your makeup. Happy weekend, loves! xoxo
ps – thanks to my amazing dad for taking the pics
