Sitting down to write this post, I feel very lucky. Since today is Thanksgiving (it will be Friday when you’re reading this), I just want to say how thankful I am for you. I’ve been presented with so many exciting opportunities because of everyone that follows this blog of mine and I am very thankful for your support.
Now, let’s talk about the products that that helped with my face this month!
The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist: I absolutely love the Vitamin E line from The Body Shop. I definitely need to do an in depth review of this line. The packaging says to use this to set makeup, but I’ve been using it before I apply makeup and in-betwen layers to help everything mesh together and look natural. It’s a very fine mist and I really like the rose scent.
L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga – Waterproof: WOW! Seriously this stuff is no joke. I have never been wowed like this with a mascara before. You can see my tweet here showing just how crazy it makes my lashes look.
ColourPop Stole the Show: I’ve been on a Champagne Pop kick but got back into this highlighter this month and hit pan! You can see a swatch of the color here.
elf Berry Merry Blush: This blush kind of reminds me of a fall version of Nars Orgasm. It’s a super pretty rose and is very highlighting as well. It’s a little deeper than Benefit Rockateur and they’re in the same color family if that’s a helpful reference point. It’s very pigmented, so use a fluffy brush and light hand. Thank you for this gorgeous blush, elf!
BareMinerals 5 in 1 BB – Blushing Apricot: My mom passed this along to me from her own makeup bag and I am very lucky she did. She decided to steer away from this because of the shimmer. It’s just enough that it might accentuate fine lines on mature skin. This primer does a great job neutralizing my lid, something I never knew I really wanted until I tried the L’Oreal Magic De-Crease…
L’Oreal Magic De-Crease: When I finished my Nars eyelid primer, I knew it’d be hard to find something to beat it but didn’t want to spend the money on the Nars again. I tried this because I had a L’Oreal coupon and am really impressed with how well it works. While I notice a little creasing around the 4-5 hour mark, there isn’t any visible oil, just a little line in my shadow (I have oily and hooded lids so it’s a difficult combo). What’s really sold me on this though is that it seems to color correct a little on my lids too, which I really like.
Phew, all done! Lots of favorites this month so thanks for sticking with this post if you’re still here. I hope all of you had a great month and holiday. Now on to December! xoxo
Love how you give references to other similar makeup products. Great review. -ash xo
