Makeup Storage & Room Tour 2015

Welcome to my updated Bedroom and Makeup Storage! The majority of my room has stayed the same, so you can read more details and see the layout of my room here. I’ve added a few things like a TV and a few extra decorations. As a disclaimer that needs to be said with these types of posts, none of this is to brag. I just genuinely love reading/watching room tours and storage ideas, so I want to create content I myself would enjoy consuming. I’m hoping this can help give some inspiration for how to work in a small space!

My bed is my everything. If you’re in college, you know. My bedspread is from Pottery Barn and the pillow is from the Lilly for Target collection.

I rearranged my necklace board to display all of my statement necklaces and love it. Saves space and serves as decor!

Use your doors for storage! This hook rack is from the $1 section at target and it holds my purses.

While these bins are not the prettiest things in the world, they do their job. If you’re really crafty you can add paper on the inside so you don’t see the contents but surprisingly it doesn’t bug me that much.

The TV is new from last year and I got these DREAM letters from Target on clearance for $8!

Now…the vanity! Thanks to my boyfriend for building this bad boy because I do not have the patience for IKEA!

This is my favorite part of my room (insert heart eyed emoji here)! The new additions to my vanity are the IKEA Alex 5 drawer and the large mirror from Target. I took away the Muji 2 Drawer I had but am still hanging on to it for the future, because it’s a great storage tool! Let’s dive in! I’ll start from the top and work down.

Muji 5 Drawer: Top drawer has highlighters, 2nd draw has lip crayons/stains, 3rd drawer has glosses, 4th drawer has balm-like products, and 5th drawer has lipsticks. I keep my Too Faced Joy to the Girls out because I just love the packaging and the sign is from a boutique.

This is the center drawer in my vanity. I keep my everyday face products and skincare. I’ll have my updated skincare routine in a post soon. The organizer is a flatware tray also from IKEA. I have 2, the other is in my blush drawer.

Now the 5 drawer: This is my favorite makeup drawer…blushes, bronzers, and more! In the front are my most used products, back left are cream products, center are highlighters and extra face powders, and on the right are miscellaneous blushes/bronzers.

Next drawer down is my eye drawer. In the skinny basket are mascaras, eyeliners, and shadow sticks, then I have all of my eyeshadows.

In one basket I have loose shadows/pigments and a glitter glue (the MUG pigment stays in the box because the glitter leaks!) and in the other basket are what I would call cream shadows.

Third drawer is full of back-ups, travel size products, some samples, and Birchbox goodies. It’s a little unorganized at the moment but I don’t know how to sort out these larger products. Recommendations?

Fourth drawer has nail stuffs, cotton pads, cotton swabs, pore strips, and other odds and ends! ps I started waxing my own brows as per Allison Anderson recommended in this video. The little container in the front is an old Birchbox box! Great for repurposing!

Fifth and final drawer has extra makeup, beauty tools, contacts, and candles!

That’s the whole lot! I’m excited to shop my stash more and find products with ease now, plus I am on another no-buy so I’ll get to use a lot of these things up. How do you organize? Any tips for me? I’d love to hear! xoxo
