Colour Pop Crazy

Happy Sunday! I hope all of you have had a great weekend. I had a nice surprise in the mail yesterday when I got my Colour Pop order that wasn’t supposed to arrive until tomorrow! I finally caved and made my first order when I saw the FREE shadow ‘Birthday Girl’ because it is just so stunning. Look up a video on Instagram because my swatch doesn’t even begin to do it justice. Let’s see what I ordered!

When you make your first order you get $5 off so make sure to sign up for that and wait for the email to come…it took about a half hour for me.

Colour Pop Lippie Stix Swatches - Lumiere, Button, Flawless | Bolt Blogs

The color shown in the tube is a little off but the swatches are true to color. Lumiere is stunning and I’m so happy I got it. It’s definitely a color right up my alley. Button is the most flattering peach I have ever tried on. Most peach shades look terrible on my skin tone but this one doesn’t make me look washed out at all. Flawless is…flawless. I’m so excited to rock this deep pink/purple.

Colour Pop Stole The Show, Prenup Swatches | Bolt Blogs

When the highlighters launched recently, I immediately knew I wanted one. I ended up with Stole the Show, which has a few flecks of real shimmer. I’m weary of saying “glitter” because people might freak out but this shade is not for the faint of heart. The blush is the most beautiful pink shade with a bit of rose and some shimmer.

Not to be dramatic, but I’m an English major and I don’t even have words for this

Bill and Birthday Girl

Like I said, my swatches aren’t doing these shades justice, but you get a general idea of the colors. Bill is a really pretty cool-toned matte plum. On my lid, it veered more pink initially but I layer a taupe shade on top and it was beautiful.

Tell me, what are your favorite Colour Pop colors?

I just got aphrodisiac (blush) and poolside (bronzer) and I love the colors and the formula is amazing. I also just purchased two lippie sticks (fighter and lumiere) but haven’t received them yet! I am curious about how to best apply the blush and bronzer though. They are so creamy that they are a little difficult to apply. What technique do you have and what brush or brushes work the best?

Hey Ashley! Just had to look up those colors…very pretty! You’ll love Lumiere! If you want a lighter application, I have been using the RT Blush Brush from the Bold Metals collection just because it is the densest synthetic brush that I own. It’s especially great for highlight and does decent for the blush. For the blush I like using my beauty blender, I just dab it in there and work it on. Surprisingly, I haven’t tried it with my fingers yet just because I’m afraid I’ll look like a clown haha but that is my favorite way to apply the shadows!

I went for it and applied it with my fingers! It actually works really well to “draw” where you want the product and then blend it out. I did that with the bronzer and it worked really well just FYI!
