Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great start to your 2016 and an awesome first month! I missed last month’s favorites because I was super busy, so I have a lot to catch up on for this month!

Bolt Blogs January Favorites

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector – Moonstone: I got this mini size in the Radiant Glow Collection from Ulta, which is still available. You can read a full review on the kit here. I’ve been super into using this as my main highlight and then going over it with Champagne Pop to really add a lot of light. I know I don’t need pearl, but the obsession with these is strong…

Wet 'n Wild Contour Dulce de Leche Swatch

Wet ‘n Wild Contouring Palette – Dulce de Leche: I’ve really been searching for a cooler toned contour color but don’t do a proper contour often enough to make a splurge on something high end (I normally just lightly contour with Chocolate Soleil). When I found this at walmart, I was super excited to give it a try. The tone is perfect for me. This does kick up some powder, but it’s not a huge deal. I would recommend starting light and then building the color because it is pretty pigmented, but blends beautifully. The light shade is a little too heavy to set my under-eyes with, but I use it to set my t-zone. Wet ‘n Wild nailed this one. I really like using it with the BH Cosmetics brush. I got it in a set and unfortunately it isn’t sold individually but wanted to show what I’ve been using.

BareMinerals 5 in 1 BB – Radiant Sand: I think these are the most underrated beauty product on the market. I got the color Blushing Apricot and after falling in love got the color Radiant Sand. This color is so beautiful if you take a minute to create a nice gradient with layering and a fluffy synthetic brush. The formula is the perfect consistency and stays in place on my hooded, oily lids all day long!

It! Cosmetics CC+ – Light: I am so in love with this CC Cream. My only complaint is that the color is pretty off, but that’s where the next product comes in. Fair was too ashy but light is too dark…I really wish they had more colors in this product. Anyway, the coverage on this for a CC cream is unbelievable. Obviously it breaks up a little faster than a foundation but using a primer really helps.

The Body Shop Lightening Drops Swatch

The Body Shop Lightening Drops: When these drops first came out, I lost it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten the lightest shade in a foundation and it’s still too dark! The Body Shop came out with Lightening and Darkening drops so you can adjust your foundation shades instead of having multiple shades in a foundation to fit you throughout the year. My only complaint with these is that it does make the product you’re working with a little more matte. Since the lightening shades have a pink undertone, I’m unsure how it would work on those who have warmer undertones.

L'Oreal la Palette Nude 1 Swatches

L’Oreal La Palette Nude 1: When I picked up this palette for $3 (read how here), I wasn’t going to be too upset if I didn’t like it, but there are a few colors in here I really enjoy. Overall, I don’t think I’d spend $20 on this palette but if you can use coupons or get a sale, I think it’s worth considering. I wish the colors were a little smoother to blend. There is one shade in the palette that is a total standout – it’s a bronze shade with a lot of brown and a gorgeous gold shimmer.

Nip+Fab Viper Venom Primer: Nip+Fab kindly sent me this primer and their new frown fix, which is also from the same line. The primer is very cooling and even a little hydrating but really smoothes out my skin and helps the makeup stick. I like that it doesn’t have a silicon feel because I hate primers that feel slippery.

If you made it to the end, thank you! Those are all of my favorites this month and I would love to hear yours! xoxo

Sitting down to write this post, I feel very lucky. Since today is Thanksgiving (it will be Friday when you’re reading this), I just want to say how thankful I am for you. I’ve been presented with so many exciting opportunities because of everyone that follows this blog of mine and I am very thankful for your support.

Now, let’s talk about the products that that helped with my face this month!

November Favorites | Bolt Blogs

The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist: I absolutely love the Vitamin E line from The Body Shop. I definitely need to do an in depth review of this line. The packaging says to use this to set makeup, but I’ve been using it before I apply makeup and in-betwen layers to help everything mesh together and look natural. It’s a very fine mist and I really like the rose scent.

L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga – Waterproof: WOW! Seriously this stuff is no joke. I have never been wowed like this with a mascara before. You can see my tweet here showing just how crazy it makes my lashes look.

ColourPop Stole the Show: I’ve been on a Champagne Pop kick but got back into this highlighter this month and hit pan! You can see a swatch of the color here.

elf Berry Merry Blush: This blush kind of reminds me of a fall version of Nars Orgasm. It’s a super pretty rose and is very highlighting as well. It’s a little deeper than Benefit Rockateur and they’re in the same color family if that’s a helpful reference point. It’s very pigmented, so use a fluffy brush and light hand. Thank you for this gorgeous blush, elf!

BareMinerals 5 in 1 BB – Blushing Apricot: My mom passed this along to me from her own makeup bag and I am very lucky she did. She decided to steer away from this because of the shimmer. It’s just enough that it might  accentuate fine lines on mature skin. This primer does a great job neutralizing my lid, something I never knew I really wanted until I tried the L’Oreal Magic De-Crease…

L’Oreal Magic De-Crease: When I finished my Nars eyelid primer, I knew it’d be hard to find something to beat it but didn’t want to spend the money on the Nars again. I tried this because I had a L’Oreal coupon and am really impressed with how well it works. While I notice a little creasing around the 4-5 hour mark, there isn’t any visible oil, just a little line in my shadow  (I have oily and hooded lids so it’s a difficult combo). What’s really sold me on this though is that it seems to color correct a little on my lids too, which I really like.

Phew, all done! Lots of favorites this month so thanks for sticking with this post if you’re still here. I hope all of you had a great month and holiday. Now on to December! xoxo

I’m pretty darn set on makeup (everyone who knows me would agree but I could always differ). My spring wish list is mainly all things to help me look fresh and bright for the season. This post is kind of exciting for me because it is my second one I’ve “repeated” because I’m officially a year into blogging. Woah. The first day of Spring was March 20th so here is what I have my eye on:

Spring Wish List 2015

Boscia Cool Blue Calming Mask: TiffanyD was talking about this mask and she said she really liked it. I’ve been super into all of my masks lately and rotating them around so I think this one would be really nice.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: Everyone and their mother seems to be talking about this product. I love sprays to refresh, prime, set, all that jazz, so I think it’d be nice to see what all the hype is about around this product.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel: All the reviews I’ve seen on this have been really positive. Admittedly, I recently ordered a new CC cream so I won’t need this anytime soon, but it’s definitely on my radar to try in the future.

BenefitPuff Off: I have been so excited to try this since I first saw it in Amelia Liana’s Vlogmas but haven’t yet. I’m almost out of all of my concealers (leave recommendations below please!) and want to revamp what I’m using so I think this might be included.

Benefit Roller Lash: You might know I have a love/hate relationship with They’re Real and this solved ALL of my problems with it. It gives volume, length, separation, and HOLDS A CURL! Straight lash/hooded eyes rejoice.

What’s on your wish list? Tell me down below! xoxo
