October was such a busy month! I fell in love with two products I had formerly written off, so let’s talk about them!
Makeup Forever Lipstick in Copper Pink: I talked about this in my Moisturizing Fall Lippies post (you can see a swatch there). It is such a beautiful color and isn’t a drying lipstick. I might highly consider getting a full size of this one day.
Benetint: I never “got” this product, until now. It was so neglected in my makeup drawer. I talked about this in my 5 Product Fresh Face post and really have found how I like to use/apply it best:
- Lips: I swipe it on and blend out with my finger
- Cheeks: Dot it on and blend it out with my e.l.f. small stipple brush
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind: I was so disappointed by this concealer. It’s all the rave and everyone loves it, but I didn’t. Something changed this month. I found I like it best over foundation and not just applied directly to my moisturized skin. It can really be built up and is nice for highlighting. I used half this month!
Essie Nail Polish in Forever Yummy: I got on a nail painting kick this month and painted my nails this color twice! It is such a pretty red and I have found that my Essie nails last the longest without chipping.
Pop Lip Magnet Primer: I got this product awhile ago on HauteLook but never really turned to it. I’ve been wearing lipstick a little more frequently and have found this is nice to prep lips instead of chapstick, which can tend to make your lipstick slide.
September was a pretty good month! I’ve been enjoying rediscovering some neglected products since I’ve been on my no-buy and have busted out my favorite rose blush again!
Benefit Rockateur Boxed Blush: I forgot just how much I loved this blush. Most of the month I was just bronzing all over and then layering this on top. It’s beautiful and perfect for Fall.
Revlon Lip Butter – Sugar Frosting: When I needed something on my lips but didn’t know what to do, on this went. It’s just a nice and easy pinky-nude.
Benefit Gimme Brow: I was all for darker lashes this month and went with my one-step gimme brow
e.l.f. Smudge Pot – Back to Basics: This color is a penny. It’s a penny in cream form. This with a little matte brown in the crease and you’re all set.
Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller: This is such an easy no-fuss concealer for me. You can check out more about what I think about it here.
What were you loving this month??
Hello all! I’m still not back in an official posting routine quite yet but I wanted to share a few of my August Favorites!
This Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is amazing! Lots of length and separation but sometimes it smudged if I didn’t set my under eye concealer well. Other than that, no complaints.
I’ve also been wearing my Nars lipgloss in Orgasm just by itself for the lips. For the face I was wearing my Physicians Formula BB Cream (a little thick but manageable) with my Benefit Cosmetics Erase Paste. For blush I just wanted a little color on the cheeks so I was picking up my Too Faced Sweetheart blush.
I hope everyone had a great month!
July was so good to me! Here is what I’ve been loving!
Nars Total Replenishing Eye Cream: Normally I think “together” products are a little gimmicky just to sell another product, but I really do believe this eye cream was formulated to be used with makeup. It is so incredibly silky and I hate that I fell in love because of its price tag.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: This is officially a holy grail for me and I feel very confident saying that. I love this. I talk more about the eye cream and the concealer here.
NYX Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray: This stuff has been a lifesaver waitressing outside! I like to spritz before my makeup, and then a spritz or two after.
Revlon Photo Ready Perfecting Primer: This is an oldie I fell back in love with this month. It really smooths out my skin, and gives me a good base for my makeup.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow: I have the shade RSVP and it is a dream! I am so obsessed and definitely want another color or two. I have very oily lids and this formula holds up. I love it as a base or a swipe by itself. I’ve worn it almost every day I’ve had makeup on this month.
MAC Sharon Osbourne LE Blush in Peaches & Cream: I’m sure this is still floating around somewhere and if you can find it, I would definitely give it a look.
Elizabeth and James Nirvana White: I found my signature scent. I keep working through sample after sample of this whenever I can get my hands on one, which is very sad. I wore this all month and will definitely be purchasing the full size when I can.
