February Favorites 2018

Am I the only one who felt like February disappeared extra fast this year? Between the olympics, my birthday, hosting out-of-town guests and a bunch of work, this month flew by. I had every intent of getting a lot more content up here this month but did get some fun videos up on my YouTube channel. I have an exciting (also scary) announcement coming Friday that will pose my biggest creative challenge yet with blogging. I pinky promise you’ll see a lot more in March!

So, let’s get into what I was loving this month:

Crest 3D White Brilliance Boost Polishing Treatment: I wish I took before and after photos with this because HOLY SMOKES my teeth are legitimately whiter. It’s a whitening polish that you use after brushing (not as a replacement to toothpaste). I use this 3-4 times a week and notice that my teeth look a lot brighter. If you’re teeth are really sensitive to whitening strips I highly recommend you give this a try.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: I am back on the train and here to stay. This concealer is my favorite concealer for the face and am so sorry to every switch. While it’s been replaced by Shape Tape for many, I’m no longer using that brand and honestly find that Vanilla matches my coloring better. I don’t like it alone under the eyes and mix it with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in light under my eyes. You can see how I use it here.

L’Oreal Infallible Translucent Setting Powder: I got quite a few compliments on my makeup this month and noticed that every time it happened I was wearing this powder. This powder does an incredible job of locking your makeup in place without making it look drier than the desert, like most setting powders will do.

It is translucent but be sure to blend it out if you bake with it because it can leave a bit of a cast. I find that if this happens, I bounce over the area with my beauty sponge and it’s totally fine. Best part: no flashbacks in photos!

Sara Happ The Lip Slip: My friend and I were recently talking about how to get some plump lips minus the lip plumper and I told her, this is it. I love a really wet looking lip, I think it’s super youthful, flattering on almost everyone and can make even no makeup days look glam. This product is not only moisturizing like a balm but also gives your lips the prettiest gloss you ever did see.

R+Co Chiffon Styling Mousse: This month I actually took the time to blow dry my hair a few times (go me) and this mousse really does make or break a blow out. It gives your hair a ton of volume without become crunchy and doesn’t cause a lot of build up, because you all know I am not here for washing my hair every day. If you have thin hair and need a lightweight mousse, this is the one for you.

Also, I said on Instagram I’d promise you my new favorite wine recommendation, which is the Love Noir Rose. I don’t know wine, except for the fact that I like it. This rose is easy drinkin’ and not pricey, so it’s a winner in my book. Enjoy.
